Oh, ze vite haus, yah?

Last night we woke up at 8:30 from a three hour nap and realized we wouldn't be going back to sleep for quite a while... So we took an unplanned nighttime trip into Washington to see the monuments at night! While walking around a large park, we came to a large gate with a police officer standing behind it.

Bowman: Hi. What is this? (gesturing to the large gates and barricades behind the officer)
Officer (raising eyebrows): The White House....?
Us (completely embarrassed): Oh, heh heh... well thanks... (walking away, trying not to make eye contact)

And that was when we decided that we have to ask all other questions with a European accent so that we don't embarrass ourselves as Americans anymore.
