Shaped like a tire gauge, but we love her anyway

Rayna had her 9-month appointment a little late...  But never fear, because she's all caught up now. The stats:

Head circumference: 17.75 inches (72 %tile)
Height: 28.75 inches (75 %tile)
Weight: 16.5 pounds (6 %tile!!!)

What?? So skinny! But we've still got the bowling ball on top, haha!

She is so hilarious. I love her sweet personality. She loves to entertain and to have fun. Some of her favorite activities are:
- hide and seek. She has loved this since she was 3 months old.
- buttons of all kinds, lately on the clock radio (see post below)
- pulling every book down off the shelf, then turning the pages all by herself
- climbing onto the couches (this was exciting at first, but now I realize she can get wherever she wants, which is usually into the middle of whatever I'm trying to do)
- carrying her shoes around the house. She knows exactly where I keep her shoes, so she crawls into her room, opens the cupboard, pulls out every shoe, and then carries them everywhere with her
- BEADS, BEADS, BEADS. She lunges for any woman wearing jewelry and immediately gets her fist around the necklace, earring, etc. with an iron grip.
- looking at animals. She loves live animals, but she also gets excited about photographs and stuffed animals. We took her to the Bean Museum on campus and it was a hit. She was alternately jubilant and terrified, depending on how close we got the stuffed mountain goats. Hahaha!

Yes, yes, pictures:

Swinging at the park. Love the boots-- thanks Aunt Megan!!!!

Playing in the gym during the ward service project

She loves to throw the tennis ball

She did this silly fake smile CONSTANTLY for a few days

At a BYU basketball game

Thanksgiving in Boise! Rayna got to sit in a big chair with the big people!

Licking her plate.... guess who taught her that?

Peeking through the railing

She loves standing up and looking through the screen door. Toothbrush in hand, of course.

She loves playing the water and it buys me at least 10 minutes of uninterrupted time!

Made to sit with the mean man! She was one of the many miserable children subjected to the Santa pictures at our ward party.

Ward Christmas party

It's true.. the walking has begun. Just a few steps at a time, but she's getting there, and she loves it! So proud of herself.

We love seeing and reading updates about Rayna. Maylee asks all the time to see Rayna's pictures--aka your blog. I can't believe that Rayna is almost one!

It's me again. Maylee is now looking at your blog with me and she is funny. First she said, "cool boots" in reference to the Santa oicture. Then in the pic of Rayna walking she said, "That's our car" in reference to the car. I didn't even notice the car but Maylee picked out fast. Anyway, Maylee loves Rayna!

I love all the pictures! That fake smile is great. All the beads and buttons are so tempting! Once they're walking completely on their own everything is so tempting and MUST be grabbed.
